Jane Baron’s creative energy is an artist's pulse through five decades, marked by fearless exploration and a devotion to visual storytelling. As a resident artist in Healdsburg, California, Jane’s work was a cornerstone of the local gallery scene, while her year-after-year selection as a juried artist for Sonoma County’s Art Trails and 15 awards at gallery shows from Wine Country to the Coachella Valley root her reputation as a visionary. Her juried pieces are crowd favorites on El Paseo, Palm Desert’s renowned art avenue.
Jane’s influence extends beyond her own practice. As a faculty member in the Art Department at Santa Rosa Junior College, she inspired and guided young artists, generously sharing her expertise and passion. Her artistry has been commissioned for large-scale projects in luxury Wine Country hotels and private collections, and she has served as Chief Artist for major companies, creating custom designs and artwork that elevate brands and spaces.
Jane’s early years were shaped by acrylic and water color painting, graphite rendering, raw fiber textiles, and pottery. In the early 1990s, she transitioned to fine art photography, pioneering emulsion transfer techniques on handmade paper and evolving into large-format landscapes, photojournalistic portraits, and lush, data-rich botanical still-lifes in the scanography medium. Experience her latest work's bold power.
